At this time, the earth is filled with all kinds of electromagnetic energy.
To name but a few sources of electromagnetic energy, there are cell phone towers, radio towers, high voltage power lines, electrical wires in houses and buildings, Wi-Fi routers, GPS signals, television towers, and satellite television.
Electromagnetic fields are created by the movement of electrons.
The human body is made up of electrically active particles, and the human body can be influenced and controlled by aiming certain frequencies of electromagnetic energy at the body.
In fact, the functioning of humans, animals, plants, and even the earth can be influenced and changed by the use of man-made electromagnetic energy.
Thus, those who have the control of the man-made energy technologies can exercise a lot of power over those who don’t have access to them.
However, there may be harmful effects and unintended consequences from all of these energies.
This essay explores how Bible prophecy may have predicted man-made electromagnetic energy and its effects on the world.
A key Bible prophecy that might be related to electromagnetic energy is the following:
(8) Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I [the prophet Isaiah] said, “Here am I. Send me!”
(9) He said, “Go, and tell this people: ‘Keep on listening, but do not perceive; Keep on looking, but do not understand.’
(10) “Render the hearts of this people insensitive, Their ears dull, And their eyes dim, Otherwise they might see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their hearts, And return and be healed.”
(11) Then I said, “Lord, how long?” And He answered, “Until cities are devastated and without inhabitant, Houses are without people And the land is utterly desolate, (11) 然后我问说:“主啊,那么需要多长时间?”
(12) “The LORD has removed men far away, And the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.
(13) “Yet there will be a tenth portion in it, And it will again be subject to burning, Like a terebinth or an oak Whose stump remains when it is felled. The holy seed is its stump.”
Humans are able to see a narrow range of electromagnetic energy (visible light).
However, as verses 9 and 10 above might indicate, humans are (currently) “insensitive” to many other types of electromagnetic energy.
Sometimes, humans can hear a buzzing sound or feel heat (from microwaves, etc.) when in the presence of electromagnetic energy, but in other cases, humans do not notice the energy.
(Humans that are being influenced by man-made electromagnetic energy often feel the effects of the energy, but they often, or initially, think that the bad feelings in their body are coming only from their body, and do not have an external source.)
Verse 10 above states,
(10) “Render the hearts of this people insensitive, Their ears dull, And their eyes dim, Otherwise they might see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their hearts, And return and be healed.”
Humans are so insensitive that they cannot feel, see, or hear a great amount of electromagnetic energy, including a lot of man-made electromagnetic energy.
The Lord allows this to occur, otherwise humans might “return and be healed.” “
“Return” means to “go or come back.”
Could this mean that, since humans are insensitive to most electromagnetic energy, and since they believe that electricity is necessary for their livelihood, that they are unwilling to “return” or “go back” to a time without electricity, in which case they might be healed from the ill effects of the electricity?
What will happen as a result of the insensitivity of humans and their dependence on electricity and electromagnetic energy?
(11) Then I [Isaiah] said, “Lord, how long [will the insensitivity last]?” And He answered, “Until cities are devastated and without inhabitant, Houses are without people And the land is utterly desolate, (11) 然后我[赛亚]说:“主啊,要多久[不灵敏的持续时间]?”
(12) “The LORD has removed men far away, And the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.
Although electromagnetic energy currently covers the whole earth, the energy is focused mostly in cities.
Could it be that this energy is silently and imperceptibly wearing down the resistance of human bodies until there will be a sudden die-off of humans, and cities become “devastated and without inhabitant”?
Could the above verses indicate that the energies are focused on certain locations, and that these places will be abandoned?
(13) “Yet there will be a tenth portion in it, And it will again be subject to burning, Like a terebinth or an oak Whose stump remains when it is felled. The holy seed is its stump.”
Could this verse indicate that the humans that remain on the earth after the first desolation will be burned with electromagnetic energy?
And could this verse indicate that there will be a remnant (a remaining number of people) that survives, that is, a “holy seed”?
The following verses were spoken by Jesus and they discuss the end of the age:
(36) “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.
(37) For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
(38) For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, (38)
(39) and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
(40) Then two men will be in the field; one will be taken and one left. (40)
(41) Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one left. (41)
(42) Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. (Matthew 24:36-42 ESV) (42)
The above verses might indicate that the first die-off will come at an unknown time and that some people will be “taken” out of the general population.
Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it, (Luke 21:21 ESV)
The above verse might indicate that people will flee to the countryside and the mountains, after the first die-off occurs, to escape from the electromagnetic energy.
(14) “But when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION standing where it should not be (let the reader understand), then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
(15) The one who is on the housetop must not go down, or go in to get anything out of his house; (15)
(16) and the one who is in the field must not turn back to get his coat.” (Mark 13:14-16 NASB) (16)
The above verses might indicate that some technological invention (the “abomination of desolation”) will directly or indirectly cause the die-off.
The verses might also indicate that the flight from the houses and cities will be extremely urgent and pressing.
(14) The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling has seized the godless: “Who among us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who among us can dwell with everlasting burnings?”
(15) He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, who despises the gain of oppressions, who shakes his hands, lest they hold a bribe, who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed and shuts his eyes from looking on evil,
(16) he will dwell on the heights; his place of defense will be the fortresses of rocks; his bread will be given him; his water will be sure.
The above verses might indicate what kind of people will survive the burning caused by electromagnetic energy.
Behold, the day of the LORD comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger, to make the land a desolation and to destroy its sinners from it.
The above verse might indicate the purpose of the die-off, namely, to remove the sinners from the land.
(10) Tell the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds. (10)
(11) Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for what his hands have dealt out shall be done to him. (Isaiah 3:10-11 ESV) (11)
For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will repay each person according to what he has done.
…when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and cleansed the bloodstains of Jerusalem from its midst by a spirit of judgment and by a spirit of burning. (Isaiah 4:4 ESV) ……
The above verses might indicate that judgment will become instant and immediate (a sort of instant karma) at the end of the age.
In other words, those who do not forgive will not be forgiven.
Those who attack others and don’t treat others as they would like to be treated will immediately feel the effects of their evil thoughts and deeds.
There will be a circle of thought, and those who cannot stop thinking evil thoughts (those who do not “repent”), will be attacked by their own evil thoughts and deeds.
And the strong shall become tinder, and his work a spark, and both of them shall burn together, with none to quench them. (Isaiah 1:31 ESV)
The above verse might indicate that the deeds of the evil strongmen will be what cause them suffering, for their deeds will start the fire that burns the strongmen.
(21) For the LORD will rise up as on Mount Perazim; as in the Valley of Gibeon he will be roused; to do his deed—strange is his deed! and to work his work—alien is his work!
(22) Now therefore do not scoff, lest your bonds be made strong; for I have heard a decree of destruction from the Lord GOD of hosts against the whole land.
The above verses might indicate that what will happen on the earth has never happened before—that there truly is no precedent.
His winnowing fork is in his hand, to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.
The above verse might indicate that two removals of humans will occur at the end of the age.
First, the wheat will be gathered, and then the chaff will be burned.
(8) “It will come about in all the land,” Declares the LORD, “That two parts in it will be cut off and perish; But the third will be left in it.
(9) “And I will bring the third part through the fire, Refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are My people,’ And they will say, ‘The LORD is my God.'”
The above verses might indicate that there will be two die-offs, that is, first the good wheat will be taken, and then the evil chaff will be burned.
The chosen ones who will remain on the earth will be purified by fire and they will call on the name of the Lord.
(13) Behold, is it not from the LORD of hosts that peoples labor merely for fire, and nations weary themselves for nothing?
(14) For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.
In the above verses, Habakkuk tells us that people are working only to make the fire, and that the end result of the die-offs will be an earth that is filled with God’s glory and knowledge.
For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
The prophet Habakkuk summarizes in his short book what will happen at the end of the age.
He tells us in the above verse that the end will definitely come, although it may seem to take a long time to come.
